The Alfonso Martín Escudero Foundation Announces 10 scholarships for students of the University of Valladolid. The purpose of these scholarships is to stimulate professional learning and other values of culture and University coexistence, through the residence of fellows in the college major of Santa Cruz, founded in 1483 by the cardinal Mendoza; a centuries-old five-time institution, of great historical significance in the University and the city of Valladolid and whose students have contributed over the centuries to the good governance of the institutions of Spain.
grants are aimed at students from the following areas:
medicine
Law and business administration
Architecture
Chemical engineering
seekers have exceeded the 1st or the 2nd course of the race, excluding those in higher grades.
the duration of the scholarship will be for one year, extendable up to the end of the race, according to the behavior and academic results, to assess by the Foundation’s trustees, report of the Director of the college major of Santa Cruz.
the scholarship endowment will be of € 8,000, the payment of which will take place in 3 instalments: the first in October 2013, a second in the month of January 2014 and the last in April of the same year.
candidates shall submit the following documents:

D) photocopy of the academic certification: secondary, and other possible merits and skills, such as languages, attitudes, art, sports, etc..
the application period will close on July 19, 2013.

the selection will be carried out by the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, taking into account academic merits and other alleged by the applicants, as well as the result of the personal interview and communicate the resolution from the 16 of September 2013.
the grant recipients will have the following obligations:
reside in the greater College of Santa Cruz during the entire period for which is granted the scholarship, participating in College activities and compliance with regulations of the Centre. Annual estimated cost in full Board at the higher College of Santa Cruz is 6,100 euros.
Acquire and develop knowledge about the history of the Colegio Mayor de Santa Cruz of the University of Valladolid and the institutions of the Government of Spain since the creation of this institution.
Collaborate with the direction of the higher school in the activities of this, especially cater to the relations of the ancient collegiate system each other and with the school.
Achieving the best academic performance in their respective faculties and schools.
